Spline Cleaner 2 is Out: Stop Hunting for Spline Errors

How many times did an Extrude fail because of one open vertex you couldn’t find? Or a CAD outline that just wouldn’t close?

Spline Cleaner 2 is here, and it makes finding spline errors a lot less of a guessing game.

Instead of hunting through vertices one by one, you can now highlight loose ends and overlapping vertices directly in the viewport, see exactly where the problems are, and focus on fixing them.

No more searching blindly through a dense CAD floor plan just to find the vertex that’s holding up your modeling. And once you’ve found it, Spline Cleaner gives you the tools to clean, repair and optimize your splines in batch, as it always did.

What’s new in v2

  • Fully Redesigned Interface. Organized into tabs, so you spend less time searching through rollouts and have everything closer at hand.
  • Expose Loose Ends. Instantly marks the disconnected endpoints of open splines directly in the viewport. These stray vertices are a common cause of extrusion problems.
  • Expose Overlapping Vertices. Highlights overlapping vertices within each spline, making it easier to identify potential issues and fix them. Diagnosis tells you how many there are; this shows you where.
  • Adjustable Marker Size. Native 3ds Max markers for vertex numbers are tiny. Now you can choose from three sizes (S, M or L) and your own colors for vertex ticks, vertex numbers, material IDs, loose ends and overlapping vertices.
  • Better Overlap Detection & Repair. Overlapping vertices are now detected within each spline to avoid false positives, and overlapping spline removal is more accurate.
