Description
Wood texturing in 3D normally means unwrapping every board by hand so grain direction is correct — a slow, repetitive step on any facade, ceiling, floor or piece of furniture built from multiple boards. WoodFlow automates it: select your geometry, click Remap, and the tool reads each element and lays the grain correctly along it, whatever its orientation, with no UV coordinates at all.
Since v1.4, the engine is fully native to Corona and V-Ray (auto-detected), replacing the previous OSL shader — interactive rendering now updates live as size, blending and variation sliders are adjusted, at full render speed on output. Ribbon mode wraps continuous surfaces in a seamless band of wood with real, game-ready UVs; Explode by element splits fused CAD imports into individually-grained boards.
Every board remains independently editable — flip a grain direction, reseed a variation, or adjust an end cap on a single piece without affecting the rest of the selection — and the whole process is 100% reversible.
Who it’s for: ArchViz artists and studios modeling timber cladding, ventilated facades, slatted ceilings and screens, decking, parquet, staircases, CLT panels, or plank furniture, who are done unwrapping boards by hand.
Compatibility: WoodFlow currently requires 3ds Max 2025 or 2026, with Chaos Corona 12+ or V-Ray 6+. Support for 3ds Max 2027 is in progress and will ship as a free update to existing owners.
