What are the differences between SuperHelix Free and SuperHelix Pro?

SuperHelix Free is a limited version, suitable for personal use and small projects. These are the limitations:

    • Custom Presets: Load/Save/Delete presets is not available.
    • Number of gizmos per scene: limited to 3.
    • Turns: limited to 50
    • Resolution: limited to 16
    • No.of spline clones: limited to 40
    • Spline growth animation: not available
    • Customer support is not provided.

How do I install the Script?

    1. Drag the “.mzp” file onto one of your viewports in 3ds Max . The script automatically installs itself.
    2. To add the script to a toolbar, go to the Menu > Customize > Customize user interface…
    3. Go to the “Toolbars” tab and pick the category “Spline Dynamics”.
    4. The script name “SuperHelix” must be listed there. Just drag it onto a toolbar and you’re done!

I purchased SuperHelix Pro and installed it but It’s running the Free version. Why is that?

Both Free and Pro versions are the same script. You just need to activate your SuperHelix Pro license to make the Pro features available.

When you purchased the product, we sent you by email a license key. Copy it to clipboard (CTRL+C) and do the following:

    1. With the script open, go to SuperHelix Pro rollout (at the bottom of the UI) and click “Activate SuperHelix Pro button.
    2. A dialog called  “Software Activation” pops-up. Paste your license key in the text field.
    3. If the license key is correct, the script will restart and perform the necessary changes.

The script title should have changed to SuperHelix Pro and all its features will be now available.

How do I activate Superhelix Pro license?

The steps for that are described in the previous question.

Is there any script’s documentation or manual?

Yes, here is the SuperHelix Script Manual.

    I need more help!

    Hi people,
    Great script!

Just found a little bug on this action sequence:

Create Gizmo -> Make Helix -> Delete by key the constructed helix -> Press script rollout’s “Delete” TWICE

-> — Runtime error: Attempt to access deleted scene object.

    Hi everybody!

The first update for SuperHelix is ready!

Version 1.01 has some minor bugs fixed:

    – Repeatedly pressing of UI ‘Delete Gizmo’ button was causing an error;

    – After performing some ‘undo’ actions, the gizmos list in the script UI was not refreshing.

These issues are now fixed on the 1.01 version.

    You can download it here.

    Enjoy Superhelix! 🙂

    Hello,

I have splinecleaner 1.02 installed on max 2016.
I have updated max to 2018 and installed splinecleaner 1.68.

When validating the license I get a license key is already active for another machine.
How do I uninstall the max 2016 version to install on the 2018 version?

    Geoff
